PONTEN PIE presents COPACABANA,

A new performing arts language show where theater, gastronomy, cabaret and visual theater are merged in an unusual room. Copacabana is a real restaurant in an unaccustomed space from the city the company visits. The guests - the public - are going to taste the delicious dishes cooked by the same actors.
Is the spectator received as a costumer of the restaurant or as a viewer of a play? This staging is one of the enigmas of the performance.
Behind Copacabana’ stoves we find three cooks which are sons of a chef of the recognized circus Bimil that had to close its doors not much ago. Due to the circus closing, our three gourmets, with few economical resources, decide to come back to Europe and to open a restaurant in an old building in the outskirts of a city hoping to make fortune. Time goes by and nobody enters into Copacabana. Suddenly, an evening, a group of sixty people enters into the restaurant. In spite of not having enough food not even tables for everybody, our three gourmets decide to serve on the group trying to satisfy the guests with small amounts of food. This wild course to solve the situation will introduce them to the universe of circus Bimil, remembrance of a previous happier time.
